Part 1
Mar 23-Apr 7
Do you ever feel like you are going the wrong way?? There seems to be a mass exodus of boats coming from George Town, heading north. We, of course, are heading south.
We tied off to a dock for the first time since leaving St Augustine in January, and it was not smooth. Angie needs to learn a new skill….lassoing. After 3 tries to get the dock lines on the cleat, with the wind pushing us off the dock, some boys felt sorry for her and helped. She gave them cookies later.

The winds died down to nothing. The marina is well protected and there was no air flow rolling through the boat, so we used our wind scoops to try to focus any airflow through the hulls. Monday nights, the marina has a very nice Happy Hour for all of the boaters. The facility, next to Grand Isle Resort, is associated with a Sandals Resort and we can go have lunch/dinner and use their beaches. NICE. There is also a Golf Course! OH, and full size laundry and fitness center at no extra charge. This is unheard of at the places we have been to. It is also a quick $35 taxi ride to the airport.
